Digital SAT FAQ
How is the Digital SAT scored?
Each section (Reading & Writing, Math) is scored 200–800 in 10-point increments. Total is the sum: 400–1600.
Do wrong answers hurt my score?
No. There is no penalty for wrong answers. Your score depends only on the number correct in each module.
How to read your estimate
- 1400–1600: Aim for near-perfect accuracy across both modules.
- 1200–1390: Keep misses minimal on Module 2; every question shifts the score.
- 1000–1190: Focus on pacing—steady accuracy matters more than speed.
- Below 1000: Drill fundamentals (linear equations, grammar rules, transitions) before timing work.

How this calculator models the Digital SAT
Module 2 counts slightly more than Module 1, but there are no routing thresholds. Every correct answer nudges the scaled score.
Section scores are capped between 200 and 800; the total is capped between 400 and 1600. One-question changes are designed to move the estimate up or down smoothly.
